On October 14, 2025, the first day of the TaCS Mathematical Seminar Series No.18 featured insightful talks by distinguished speakers from Naresuan University, Prof. Dr. Rabian Wangkeeree, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kasamsuk Ungchittrakool. The seminar offered a deep dive into the fundamental mathematical concepts that underpin modern optimization and control theory.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kasamsuk Ungchittrakool delivered an engaging lecture on “Mathematical Background and Notations in Convex Optimization”, providing participants with a strong foundation for understanding optimization problems. This was followed by Prof. Dr. Rabian Wangkeeree’s session on “Optimization Theory: The KKT Conditions in Nonlinear Optimization”, which explored crucial theoretical principles for solving nonlinear optimization tasks, bridging theory with practical applications in control and machine learning.
