TaCS-CoE Director Delivered a Special Lecture at the Frontier Research and Innovation Cluster Seminar

On July 10, 2026, Prof. Dr. Poom Kumam, Director of the Theoretical and Computational Science Center (TaCS-CoE), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), participated as a distinguished speaker in the Frontier Research and Innovation Cluster academic seminar held at the Faculty of Science, Naresuan University, Phitsanulok, Thailand. His special lecture, “Building Research Networks Before Writing Proposals,” highlighted practical strategies for establishing sustainable international collaborations and developing competitive research proposals. Drawing on his extensive experience in building research partnerships across Europe and Asia through initiatives such as Erasmus+ RISE 5.0, PMU-B Global League, the Sakura Science Program, and numerous bilateral collaborations, he emphasized that successful international grants are built on mutual trust, long-term collaboration, joint publications, researcher mobility, and a shared research vision.

The seminar brought together leading researchers from diverse disciplines to promote interdisciplinary knowledge exchange and strengthen research collaboration across institutions. The program also featured Prof. Dr. Phatiphat Thounthong from King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), who presented the keynote lecture “Emerging Research Opportunities in Electrical Engineering and Smart Energy Systems,” and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyabut Burikham from Chulalongkorn University (CU), who delivered the lecture “Unlocking the Cosmos: High Energy Physics and the Dark Universe.” Together, the speakers shared valuable insights that inspired future interdisciplinary research, international collaboration, and innovative scientific initiatives.
