Show & Share: Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of TaCS Center of Excellence (2015–2025)

On December 2, 2025 the Center of Excellence in Theoretical and Computational Science (TaCS-CoE), Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), organized the event “Show & Share 10th Anniversary: 2015–2025” to celebrate a decade of research excellence and to highlight its achievements in Fixed Point Theory, Optimization, Theoretical Physics, Nonlinear Analysis, and Computational Science.

This year, more than 100 participants joined the event, including talented students from Mahidol Wittayanusorn School and Darunsikkhalai School, TaCS-CoE members, student researchers, and members of the Fixed Point Research Lab. The event provided an inspiring environment for young students to explore research pathways and engage with scientists across multiple disciplines.

The morning program featured an introduction to TaCS-CoE, followed by talks from faculty members who shared their Inspiring Research Journeys, offering insights into how theoretical and computational research can impact real-world applications and scientific advancement.

The exhibition area included several discipline-specific booths:

  • Physics Booth – Showcasing theoretical and experimental research projects
  • Computer Science Booth – Presenting AI models, computational methods, and algorithmic development
  • Fixed Point & Optimization Booth – Featuring signature research work from the Fixed Point Research Lab and the NCAO Research Center

In the afternoon, participants joined a Lab Tour to explore real research environments across multiple facilities, including:

  • Fixed Point Laboratory (8th Floor)
  • TaCS-CoE Research Center (6th Floor)
  • Physics Laboratory (1st Floor)
  • Surface and Interface Laboratory (2nd Floor, Scientific Instrument Center)

The tour allowed students to experience research processes firsthand—from mathematical modeling and computational simulations to experimental physics—helping to ignite scientific curiosity among young talents.
