The Faculty of Sciences at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, North University Centre in Baia Mare, recently hosted the 10th International Minisymposium on Unification Approaches in Fixed Point Theory and Applications on June 20, 2025. This international event welcomed renowned scholars and researchers from across the globe to engage in discussions on emerging developments and foster scholarly collaboration in fixed point theory and its interdisciplinary applications. The opening remarks were delivered by Dr. Cosmin SABO, Head of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, followed by a welcome address from Vice-Rector Claudiu POP-STAR.

The event also celebrated two decades of excellence at the Mathematics Doctoral School of the North University Centre of Baia Mare. Professor Vasile BERINDE, a prominent contributor to fixed point theory and a central figure in Romania’s mathematical landscape, was honored for his longstanding dedication to the field. The symposium concluded with a collective commitment to expanding international academic partnerships and solidifying Baia Mare’s role as a vibrant center for mathematical research and global engagement.
